The Phyto-IT logo and company name explained
"A picture is worth a thousand words"
The Phyto-IT logo. But what does it all mean?
No color is better suited to represent plants than green. Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Some people say green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is also considered the color of balance and is associated with learning, growth and harmony.
Phyto-IT is all about plants. Phyto is a Greek prefix meaning "a plant" or "growth". It is often used in the formation of compound words.
The Sun. Life on Earth depends almost entirely on biological photosynthesis using the Sun as an energy source. During photosynthesis, plants trap light energy with their leaves and use that energy to change water and carbon dioxide into sugars. These sugars are used by the plants for energy and to make other substances like cellulose and starch. Cellulose is used in building cell walls while starch is stored in seeds and other plant parts as a food source.
No Information Technology (IT) without computers. Apple's iMac computer was the main inspiration for this part of the logo.
